Engine House is Melbourne’s hidden gem for startups! Founders Rod Janover and Ryan Klibansky offer the prestige and convenience of a inner city address but without the steep rents.
.
Engine House - based in in Wellington Street, St Kilda, was originally a tram depot - and is now a funky space for 100 people.

Startups and young entrepreneurs are flocking to co-working spaces like Engine House because of the flexibility it offers.

"Instead of locking yourself into a 12-month lease and fit out, you can come in and use it as you please," says Ryan Klibansky.

No office issues and dealing with IT issues, furniture and cleaning. It has all the benefits of an inner city location without the overheads.

The heritage listed facade and empty shell was transformed into a mix of communal desks, private offices, confidential meeting rooms and an onsite cafe. With Weekly meditation classes to boot.

Consultant Shelly Freeman is one Engine House client who loves the vibe of the space who said that being part of Engine House brings with it a built in community.

The only question that springs to mind is - where will Ryan and Rod crate their magic next?
